Rewilding Rangers - Mystical Plants and Spells

Join us for our October holiday Rewilding Rangers session, where we'll be working with local artist Catriona Hawksworth learn about plants, their history, and creating our own spells!

Catriona has been doing a creative residency at Rewilding Denmarkfield and has been delving into the history, culture and music of the local area and plants and wildlife.

Did you know that one of the Scots names for Yellow Rattle is Dog’s Sillar, because the seed heads look like small coins, and if you stand under an elder tree on a faerie hill on Halloween, you’ll see the faeries walking past?

We'll see what mystical and magical plants can be found at Denmarkfield, and have a go at conjuring up our own names and spells! We will also make some magic wands, just in time for Halloween.
